The line was short and the the lady was extremely helpful. Getting to the car was very easy and it was clean and ready to go. The drop-off was also surprisingly easy with a free shuttle to terminal. I would definitely use again.

Fantastic from start to finish.

All they want is to not return your deposit amount. They inspect the car and find out peculiar issues with it. There is no inspection at the start. And if there is even a smalll scratch they would replace the whole part. What they want is not to return your deposit money.

I will never rent from Alamo again.

The rental agent, Ali, was very friendly and very patiently went into great detail the terms and conditions of my rental which I very much appreciated. Car was superb and great value for money

The staff was very professional and effucient at the pick up and return points.

Great customer service & nice vehicle. It would be nice to have been oriented to car e.g. how to turn on lights, back up mirror. etc. We are older.

They did a bait and switch on me at Heathrow by claiming that as my flight arrived early they didn't have a car available in the class I booked. So what they had was 250% higher. As I was there for my mother's 100 birthday, and they are well away from all other rental companies, I had to accept it. However I will never rent from them again

No one was at the Sixt counter to collect the car, and after waiting 30 minutes, I called the Sixt helpline, only to find an automated message saying my booking had been cancelled. That meant I had to book another car with a rental company whose desk was manned at twice the cost of the original. I am absolutely disgusted with both Sixt and Kayak for not informing me of the cancellation, and leaving me in the lurch after a 10 hour flight and I will not be using either again.

Due to a complaint on a previous rental relating to a puncture repair which my insurance paid for, Europcar refused to rent the car to me. I was left without a car following an overnight trans Atlantic flight. On checking reviews for their Sheffield branch, almost all are negative and Kayak should think about not using this company.

I got to Manchester UK a day later than planned, and when I went to pick up the car, was advised that my reservation was cancelled. I asked them to just take one day off the reservation, as I needed a vehicle and would return the vehicle on the original date described. They refused to do so, and advised that I would need to make a whole new booking and I would be treated as a 'walk in' I had no choice. I asked then for them to refund the payment I had made to Kayak, they advised that was not in their ability, that I would have to go back to Kayak to get the refund. I have tried to reach kayak, but you folks do not make contact you that easy. I would like someone to reply to this email and give me my money back. Thank youi Michael Kamis

I had prepaid my booking with Europcar via Kayak. Upon arrival at the rental counter at 7:00AM, the person told me I couldn't rent a car because my current driver's license had only been issued on 8/17/23 and was less than 12 months old. He said that without a copy of my prior license, which of course I didn't have, he couldn't release the vehicle and would therefore cancel the reservation. When I said I'd already paid for the reservation, he said he couldn't help me on the refund, and that I'd have to deal with Kayak. When I told him I rent a vehicle on average once a week, all over the world, and have never had this problem; and also told him I'd been driving for almost 50 years, he said it didn't matter. He said this was Europcar's policy. So, I walked to the next counter (Enterprise) and hired another rental car. It was a terrible experience. I will never rent from Europcar again. Please help me obtain my refund. You should see in the system that Europcar canceled the reservation. Thank you.

This is one of the worst car rental experiences I’ve had. Kayak is terrible to get to. In spite of all the push ads I’ve received from them they have not responded and customer service telephone numbers give out wrong information and Europcar refuses to attend to my rental agreement changes stating that I’ve booked a 3rd party such as Kayak. So you guys do not add value. You just make life more difficult for car renters

We’ve booked an SUV WV Tuareg, as we were 5 people. Upon arrival we were given a Capra which was pretty small and was not comfortable at all for the passengers on the back. On arrival, we were charged 2x one way charges as we were to return the car in a different city (this was not mentioned when we were making the reservation). After we picked up the car, we received an email that the return office wasn’t working Sundays (the day we were supposed to return the car) and we were to pay additional £60 for an out of hours return. This was not mentioned neither during the reservation process, nor during pickup by the person at the Europcar desk. Overall we paid a lot of money, most of all surcharges, for a very uncomfortable drive.

The car had a lot of miles on it and was quite worn and a little soiled inside. Would have preferred a better standard for the $ paid.

Be careful with the charge purchase option. You will be charged the full amount of this even if you only have a small amount of charge needed

Not a part of the standard shuttle service. Seemed very intent on trying to find a scratch or nick on the car to charge me for.

The address sent to me from Kayak for the drop off location belonged to a Thrifty car rental location. The instructions from Hertz/Dollar on the receipt were no help either. LHR has numerous old Hertz sites around the airport that are all Google locations yet they’re all old. When Kayak confirms a drop off location, it has to be right. Customers shouldn’t have to search all around the airport for the drop off.

Give him a go the company is one of the best that l have used

We will never rent from Easirent again. No shuttle provided even though we called and waited 1 hour. Not located in the Manchester Airport area. Took 2 hours to check out the car with no other customers there. We were given no paper work for the rental car. Had to call the mechanic and lost 3 vacation days because of problems with the car mechanics. The car return location was poorly marked and they would not provide a shuttle to Heathrow airport. Keep your money and get better service and customer help by renting somewhere else.

Our reservation was automatically cancelled due to late arrival, which was never explained as a possibility and then we were forced to pay more than double due to same-day rates. At drop off there were no signs explaining what needed to be done, so we wasted 15 minutes waiting in line only to find out that we needed to bring the car into the garage. Once in the garage there was no one to help so we had to wait another ten minutes for someone to show up to inspect the car. They just seem understaffed with no clear signage or directions.

Just been forced to pay insurance because I couldn’t make payments of the deposit… wouldn’t allow me to make 2 payments and my card wouldn’t do the larger amount in one transaction

Was told I needed to pay an extra £200 on top of the price that I had been quoted on the website. Apparently, because I had booked through a US website, insurance hadn't been included in the original quote!!

drop off at Gatwick was difficult. its at a hotel in the middle of a very confusing one way system, there are no visible signs until you get into the car park and if youre dropping it off on a sunday like I was theres no one to help you. I parked next to a van with the easirent logo on it so I assume it was the right place but the spaces had hertx written on the ground by them so I may well end up with a fine. who knows.

They did add insurance despite I asked them not to add, then make you sign the contract without letting you see the details. Some sort of scam, which I am surprised I am not the first one according to several reviews

So road in the pick ups n drop ofs car was not clean no one shoe me thr car !no invocr hidden charges inshorance £200 no one drop of gas in the car so sad booking £162 inshorance £200 wow just a joke 😢

Pick up was a disaster, was stated to be at airport was not, no indication of how to get to them google gave a closed office location and phone number did not work, price was not as quoted would have been similar price to go with a main stream company. Even details of how to get back to airport was vague end result lots of walk g both ways!

The pickup experience was poor. The location is further from the airport than the other car hire locations. It took a long time to be attended to - insufficient number of staff and the staff were managing both drop-offs (detailed inspection required) and pickups. The office was in a run-down prefab building with a dirty couch. There was far too much paperwork required for the check-out process and none of the information that I had submitted in advance (at their request) was in their system. The cars are parked in a potholed, puddled gravel lot. Overall a disappointing first experience of England.

I did not rent the car after paying for the rental. When I got to the place to pick up the car I had already paid for, they wanted a £1400 deposit in case of damage to the car. I refused to rent and have now lost my $424. payment for the rental and had to rent with Europcar where they are legal and actually charge what they say they will charge.
