The advantages of a raised garden bed are well documented but suffice to say that raising the garden bed provides increased drainage that plants respond to. Garden beds can be placed directly on existing soil or grass or onto decking, concrete and paved areas. A base can also be fitted if you wish to use your garden bed on a timber deck or a balcony creating the perfect planter box.

Installation Tips

• If placing your raised garden bed onto grass we recommend placing a 25mm layer of newspapers inside the garden bed, rising up the internal walls for 150mm
• If placing your raised garden bed on concrete you may wish to line the base and the sides to a height of 150mm with weed control mat or similar to stop soil leeching from around the base
