It might still be a little chilly outside in some parts of the world, but in Fortnite it's time to leap into spring. Version 24.10 arrives with an "eggciting" new limited-time event, Spring Breakout 2023!

Get into the springtime spirit with new themed cosmetics rotating through the Item Shop, or score some springtime freebies by completing Spring Breakout Quests. Even the Battle Royale Island itself has decked itself out, with cherry blossoms trees at Named Locations, colorful chickens laying even more colorful eggs, and the return of the Egg Launcher weapon.

Fortnite Spring Breakout 2023 Event Release Date and Runtime

Spring Breakout 2023 went live in Fortnite on March 29, 2023 at 9 AM ET. It will end on April 11, 2023 at 12 AM ET.

Fortnite Spring Breakout Quests and Rewards

Not only can you find plenty of colorful spring-themed cosmetics in the Item Shop during this Fortnite event, you can complete special Spring Breakout Quests to unlock free rewards!

Spring Breakout Daily Quests will become available every day until April 11, 2023 at 12 AM ET. Completing Spring Breakout Daily Quests will rewards heaps of XP and special event rewards.

Fortnite Spring Breakout Chickens

Our favorite feathered fowl have a new look for Spring Breakout in Fortnite. Now you can find Purple Chickens and Green Chickens clucking about Battle Royale Island, dropping special springtime eggs!

The eggs that these Spring Breakout Chickens lay aren't any ordinary eggs. Collect and interact with these green, blue, and gold eggs to gain special effects like restored Health and Shields, or even earn extra Gold Bars.

Fortnite Spring Breakout Egg Launcher Unvaulted

The Egg Launcher has sprung out of the Fortnite Vault! It can now be found from ground loot, Loot Chests, Supply Drops, or bought from certain Vendors. It can also be acquired by selecting the new Springtime Blowout Reality Augment, introduced in this event.

Fortnite V24.10 New Reality Augments

Fortnite is mixing up Chapter 4 Season 2 with a handful of new Reality Augments. Keep an eye out for the following Reality Augments as you progress through your Fortnite matches during the Spring Breakout 2023 event:

Springtime Blowout Reality Augment

Receive an Egg Launcher.

Rail Warrior Reality Augment

Regenerate Health and partial Shield while on grind rails or ziplines, except while in the Storm.

Go For Broke Reality Augment

Grants a Charge Shotgun and Flintknock Pistol.

Aquatic Warrior Reality Augment

Move faster and regenerate Health and partial Shield while swimming, except while in the Storm.

Game Time Reality Augment

Grants the Pizza Party and some Chug Splashes!

Fortnite V24.10 New Specialist Characters

Everyone needs a little help some time. There are eight new NPCs up for hire with the release of V24.10 in Fortnite, and this time they are Specialists in their own expertise. There are four types of Specialists amongst these new Hirable NPCs:

Scout Specialist: Scouts can pick off foes from afar with a Sniper, and can ping nearby enemies and Chests.

Heavy Specialist: With their explosive inventory, Heavies specializes in making things go BOOM! Heavies can also take more damage than other Specialists.

Supply Specialist: Supply Specialists drop ammo and mats for you to pick up. Supply Specialists won’t drop mats in Zero Build.

Medical Specialist: Hired Medics heal you with Chug Splashes to restore your Health and Shield.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 Battle Pass Super Level Styles

On top of all the bonus rewards and Styles you could unlock from your Battle Pass by completing the Seasonal Quests this season, a new set of Battle Pass goodies has dropped.

Progress past Level 100 of your Battle Pass progression, and you unlock Bonus Rewards. If you progress all the way beyond Level 125 of your Battle Pass, and you will start unlocking Super Level Styles for the Thunder, Imani, Renzo the Destroyer, Mizuki, and Highwire Outfits.

Fortnite V24.10 Collections Tab Renamed

The Collections tab is no more. Technically. It is now called the "Characters" tab, and selecting it will show a map of all the locations of Characters such as Hirable NPCs on Battle Royale Island. Even Characters you have not yet discovered.

Use the Characters tab not only to find the locations for Vendors, Hirable NPCs, and other Characters, but to view the wares and costs of any Characters you have previously discovered.

Fortnite V24.10 Building and Editing Sensitivities Adjustments

In v24.10, a Building Sensitivity setting and Editing Sensitivity setting have been added to Fortnite's "Mouse and Keyboard" settings. With these new settings, you're now able to adjust the sensitivity of building or editing structures to your preferred speed.

Fortnite V24.10 Miscellaneous Updates

• Improved the handling turn radius of the Rogue Bike vehicle at higher speeds.
• Tweaks have been made to reduce energy usage on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Frame rate in the Lobby will drop to 30 FPS after a period of inactivity, but will return to 60 FPS whenever you touch the controller or join a match.

Fortnite V24.10 Competitive Updates

• The Spring Breakout chickens and eggs, as well as the Egg Launcher and Springtime Blowout Reality Augment, are not included in competitive playlists.
• Zero Build Cups, Duos Cash Cups, and Victory Cups kick-off throughout this week. Good luck, competitors!

Fortnite V24.10 Major Bug Fixes

• Fixed the issue involving players being asked to install Save the World even if they already had it installed.
• Fixed the issue with the Kinetic Blade's Knockback Slash that prevented the owner from taking fall damage. (Note: The Dash Attack will still prevent fall damage.)
• Fixed an issue that was capping some mobile devices to 60 FPS despite 90 FPS being available.
• The grind rail interaction button no longer has a delay on mobile devices.
• Fixed the issue that caused us to disable ziplines in Party Royale. Ziplines have been re-enabled in Party Royale.
