As a student, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have set strict constraints on fashion. You cannot buy new sets of clothes like new shirts, pants or shorts, or outerwear, but you can change your character's appearance through accessories and by swapping through seasonal uniforms.

There are new outfits available in The Teal Mask DLC! After downloading the update, connect to the internet and click on the DLC icon on the bottom of the menu on the right to see additional items and download new school uniforms.

After reaching a certain point in the story, you'll earn another new outfit.

How to Change Your Outfit in Pokemon Violet and Scarlet

You can change your clothes and other style options by pressing left on the directional buttons. This brings up the Outfit Menu.

In this menu you can choose between four outfit types: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC Uniform Options

The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, includes a lot of new content. Whether or not you've started the additional adventures, you can claim a new uniform set by purchasing the expansion.

If you've purchased The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, you can get your new clothes by going to the Downloadable Content section in the main menu.
In addition to the school uniforms, you can customize the following clothing and accessory categories:

  • Legwear
  • Footwear
  • Gloves
  • Bags
  • Headwear
  • Eyewear
  • Rotom Phone Case

A handful of default "School" collection items are given to you by default, along with other items like the Canvas Backpack, Horn-Rimmed Glasses, and Performance Sneakers - White. To get more options, you'll need to visit shops.

In this Outfit menu, you can also change select parts of your appearance by pressing +. Here you can alter your eye shape, color contacts, eyebrows, and more. You cannot change your hair this way, though. You'll need to visit a salon to change your hair.
